It is their fourth record to chart in the Top 40 following their three-part album series Love Yourself.

They knocked off 17-year-old US singer Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? after a two-week stint at the summit.

And the Chemical Brothers entered in at No4 with No Geography – their ninth Top 10 album.

Viral US rapper Lil Nas X, 20, claimed No1 on the Official Singles Chart with Old Town Road.

He ended 22-year-old Scot Lewis Capaldi’s seven-week dominance with Someone You Loved.

Lil Nas X, real name Montero Lamar Hill, said: “I cannot believe how amazing my song is doing on the UK charts. I’m so thankful to everyone who has got behind Old Town Road.

“I’m still blown away by all the support for the track – thank you for listening.”
