BTS are back to their usual cute selves after a series of dark concept teasers which saw them transformed into handsome black swans followed by a godlike setup at a renaissance style feast.

As excitement builds for their new album Map Of The Soul: 7 and their 2020 world tour, the K-pop group star in some lighter images that throwback to their earlier school-themed concepts.

In one black and white image the members, wearing leather jackets, playfully lie on top of each other in a pyramid with yellow illustrations dotted around them.

Further images feature each individual member in photos resembling ones you might find in a school year book.

Big Hit described the theme of these photos as the group’s ‘true selves’, and will likely make up one of four versions of the new album which drops next week.

This era appears to be all about looking back for BTS, with teaser tracks starring the rapline RM, J-Hope and Suga referencing old school releases from the group.

This year has been incredible for the IDOL singers so far with a guest appearance on stage at the Grammys, and the release of single Black Swan which they performed for the first time on The Late Late Show.

Stopping for a chat with host James Corden, J-Hope described their night at the Grammys as ‘special’. ‘BTS and K-pop on stage, we couldn’t believe it,’ he said.

RM chimed in: ‘It felt like K-pop was recognised worldwide by Alicia’, referring to host Alicia Keys name-dropping them in a song.

Suga added: ‘Next year we want to do a BTS stage too.’
