BTS get fully festive on the red carpet ahead of SBS Gayo Daejeon Silent Night performance

BTS brought some festive spirit to the SBS Gayo Daejeon ahead of their big performance.

The song festival, taking place in Seoul on Christmas Day, sees the biggest names in K-Pop perform to their legions of fans and fellow idols.

And this festive edition is bound to produce some iconic stages from the likes of TWICE, MAMAMOO, SEVENTEEN, GOT7 and more.

The members were happy to deck themselves out with some jokey props and pose in front of the special SBS gold curtain.

BTS brought their A-game for their Christmassy performances, which included a solo stage from Jungkook who sang O Holy Night. He arrive on stage clutching a giant present and holding a little girl’s hand for the extra ‘aww’ factor.

The Fake Love group then performed together joined by bell ringers for a performance of Silent Night to kick the event off.

Can we appreciate their red carpet fashion for a sec? J-Hope’s long velvet coat and RM’s all-purple outfit are really working for us here.

Their appearance at SBS Gayo Dajeon comes a day after their agency BigHit Entertainment teased something new from the group in 2020.

On Tuesday the agency shared a mysterious purple-tinged picture on Twitter, showing the upside-down reflection of seven figures standing in water.

The word ‘TOUR’ was at the bottom, with the caption simply reading: ‘April 2020. Stay tuned.’

BTS’ fanbase, called Army, are convinced that this means RM, Suga, J-Hope, V, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook might be going on the road next year.

While others have the theory that it could be the follow up album to their 2019 comeback Map Of The Soul: Persona.

At the 2019 MAMA Awards vocalist Jimin previously teased that the members were hard at work on something new.

He said: ‘We’re working on our next album now, and I think we’ll be able to put out an even better album than you’re expecting. ‘Please look forward to it a lot.’

‘Touch’ is the theme for this year’s festival, and we can’t wait to see how the artists manage to incorporate it.

There are also some special stages coming up featuring different idols from various groups collaborating.

Chungha will join MAMAMOO’s Hwasa for a performance while Tzuyu from TWICE and Seolhyun from AOA are also set to team up.

Along with Jackson from GOT7 and JR from NU’EST, the performers will make up a special stage called Don’t Touch.
