Fortnite has collaborated with some high-profile musicians before, having done crossovers with the likes of Steve Aoki, Travis Scott and Marshmello in the past.

However, in what could be their biggest event to date, the game is preparing to launch a collab with BTS, the K-pop sensation whose recent achievements include smashing YouTube records and becoming TikTok’s most-followed Korean stars.

The South Korean group will feature in Fortnite Party Royale to debut the new music video for their English language single, Dynamite – the song which earned the band their first Billboard number one.

When will the BTS Party Royale event take place?

What time is the BTS Fortnite event?

Fortnite: Battle Royale will be a weekend-long event, starting with the premiere of BTS’ Dynamite music video on Friday September 25 at 8pm EST (Eastern Standard Time).

8pm EST to UK time works out to be 1am – though the dedicated fans, or the Army, will likely have no hesitation waiting up for it.

If you can’t catch the debut of the music video on Friday, Fortnite will be hosting a rerun on Saturday, September 26 at 8am EST, which works out to be a much more sensible 1pm in the UK.

How to watch BTS: Party Royale

If you already use Fortnite, you’ll just have to open the game as normal. If it’s your first time on Fortnite, you can download the game from the store pages for your Windows, Mac or Android.

You can also find the game through your PS4, Xbox and Switch in the game stores.

Once you’ve opened Fortnite, at the lobby screen, select change in the bottom right corner, choose Party Royale and hit accept.

Once you’ve pressed play, you should proceed to the main stage on the east side of the island.

To do this, find the SOFDEEZ ice cream parlour in the Plaza, and take the road to the back-right of the shop.

A disco sign will confirm you’re on the way to the Main Stage, and on the way to have your minds blown by BTS’ Dynamite.

BTS Fortnite emotes: when will they be ready to use?

In addition to debuting their music video, BTS will also be collaborating with Fortnite to release two brand new emotes, which they have choreographed themselves.

The new BTS emotes dropped on Fortnite’s Item Shop on September 23.

The emotes, which can only be purchased in a bundle, can be found under the Featured section of the Item Shop and can be bought for 800 V-Bucks – Fortnite’s in-house currency.
