The BTS ARMY are a force to be reckoned with, and it looks like Roman Kemp could be in trouble in the jungle for his past comments calling the band’s music ‘noise’.

When it was confirmed Roman would be a contestant on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, fans of the band began plotting their revenge.

Roman angered the ARMY in 2018 after he said on his Capital FM breakfast show: ‘that noise you were just hearing there’ was BTS’s music.

Following the comment on his radio show, 60 complaints were made to Ofcom, and he was forced to apologise for any offence caused.

He had also come under fire for comments he made to Metro.co.uk wondering whether the fans were there for the band’s music or for their looks.

Roman told us why Capital were yet to play any of BTS’s records on the show: ‘At the moment, that time hasn’t come. I think that when that starts to happen, I’ll understand [the phenomenon].

‘It’s hard sometimes, because when you get bands like that that create this fandomania… are they there for the music, or are they there for what the kids look like?

‘Especially in the K-pop world, where it’s about so much more than the singles they release. For us, it’s just the music.’

While Roman did issue a statement apologising for the incident, the BTS ARMY aren’t so quick to forgive and forget – and are planning to vote for him to do Bushtucker Trials in the jungle.

They took to Twitter after Roman posted a video apologising for past tweets which he has since deleted, which could be deemed offensive.

They posted: ‘UK ARMY, ROMAN KEMP IS GOING TO THE JUNGLE, VOTE FOR HIM TO ALL THE TRIALS BECAUSE HE WAS A D*** TO BTS’.

Another replied: ‘SKDKSKSDKKDKS JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED’.

The fans were also quick to notice BBC Radio 1 host Adele Roberts will also be in the jungle, and praised her for her support for the band.

They wrote: ‘so adele roberts aka the queen of interviewing bts and roman kemp aka the a****** who called their music “noise” are going on i’m a celeb together.’

Others added: ‘both Adele Roberts and Roman Kemp going into I’m a celeb, ultimate bts stan vs anti FACE OFF’ and ‘adele roberts and roman kemp are both going on i’m a celeb……if bts comes up in convo i hope adele ROASTS roman’.

Roman had issued an apology to the fans last year, saying: ‘The comments I have made have been widely twisted and labelled as something that they are not.

‘I will accept 100% responsibility if some of the views I put across have been deemed offensive and to those I can only apologise. No offence was ever meant.

‘It’s never my intention to garner negative energy for anyone let alone within the world of music that I love so dearly.

‘However comments have started to now be aimed toward not only myself but my family and loved ones, I would please ask for this to stop.

‘I am sorry to anyone who may have been offended by any comment I have made toward BTS. I ask all BTS fans to know in their hearts that I have never thought anything negative of the band nor would I want to stop the joy of spreading music.’
