Last season in particular saw Fernandes truly break out into a world star after finishing with an impressive 32 goals and 18 assists in all competitions.

He has continued in the same vein this campaign having played his part in 28 goals all competitions.

Fortunately for United as well, Fernandes will be available to play in the Europa League despite having played in the competition for Sporting.

That’s due to a rule change from UEFA which allowed new signings to play for their new side in the knockout stage.
