Bruno Fernandes has fired a light-hearted warning to his Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba following France’s win against Germany in their Euro 2020 opener on Tuesday evening.

Mats Hummels’ own goal in the first half was enough for the reigning world champions to secure victory in their first game in Group F at the Allianz Arena.

Pogba delivered an impressive performance alongside N’Golo Kante at the heart of France’s midfield and the United midfielder was named man of the match of his display after the game.

After receiving the award, Fernandes sent a message to his United teammate with Portugal due to play France in their final Group F match next Wednesday.

On his Instagram story, Fernandes posted a picture of Pogba in his post-match interview with the message: ‘Happy for you, but MVP only today’.

Portugal, meanwhile, also got their Euro 2020 campaign off to an excellent start with a 3-0 victory over Hungary on Tuesday.
