Bruce Springsteen music event running 24-hour DJ set to raise money for charity

The organisers of a Bruce Springsteen music event are doing a DJ set playing nothing but his music for 24 hours.

Hungry Heart is accepting donations while its DJs keep the music coming from Saturday right through to Sunday afternoon (3 May).

The aim is to raise £10,000 for charities in need of extra support during the coronavirus lockdown, including Childline, Barts Trust, the Trussell Trust, Hospice UK and Age UK.

Hungry Heart is run by three Springsteen-loving individuals, who run DJ events around the country throughout the year.

“Liberating, life-affirming and joyful, the nights are a chance to hear all your favourite Springsteen tracks – from the big album hits to the rare B sides – while partying with other fans,” the website reads.

You can listen to the 24-hour DJ set here, and donate to the Just Giving page here.

Last month, Sirius XM Radio announced that their channel, named E Street Radio, was going free until 15 May.

The station plays songs written by Springsteen, including covers, as well as live versions and rare tracks all day, every day.

In Europe, it can only be listened to for free on a laptop or computer – find the radio station here.
