BRITS would rather have a No Deal Brexit than let Jeremy Corbyn wreak havoc in No10, a poll has revealed.
Nearly half of voters want to leave the bloc without a withdrawal agreement if it means the Labour boss stays away from Downing Street.
Forty eight per cent of voters want Corbyn away from No10 but around a third, 35 per cent, preferred the option of Corbyn as PM and a second referendum being staged.
Meanwhile 17 per cent of voters were unsure either way, a YouGov poll found.
The vote also found that almost a quarter of Remain voters would prefer No Deal if it meant no Corbyn in No10, while 10 per cent of Labour voters say the same about their own leader.
While 80 per cent of Leave voters would rather a No Deal Brexit if it meant no Corbyn – just 64 per cent of Remainers preferred the Labour boss in Downing street with a second referendum option.
CORBYN’S PM PLOT
The damning poll is a fresh knock for Corbyn’s plan to launch a rebellion at No10 after his letter to Tory rebels and Eurosceptics last week.
The Labour leader wants to table a no confidence vote in Boris Johnson in an effort to block No Deal.
He then plans to take over in Downing Street and lead a temporary government.
However, his plot has been widely mocked by other MPs with Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson suggesting he is too “divisive” to lead a government of unity.
Instead she called for Tory grandee Ken Clarke and senior Labour MP Harriet Harman to take control in the wake of a no confidence vote.
On Friday Corbyn said he was “disappointed” Swinson did not back him.
He told the BBC: “We are going to put a motion of no confidence in this government in order to have a general election so the British people have the chance on their own future and prevent a No Deal exit from the European Union.
“I thought Jo Swinson supported that position and I hope she will come around to it.”
But while Westminster prepares for No Deal and the possibility of a general election – Corbyn is said to be arranging a four-day fact-finding tour of Ghana.
It is unclear what Mr Corbyn will learn on the trip.
But Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo is struggling to contain corruption.
One Labour MP said: “It would help matters if the party leader wasn’t going abroad at such a time but what would help most is if he wasn’t Labour leader.
“People in his own party don’t trust him so what chance is there of people in other parties backing him.”
