LEWIS Capaldi was the big winner at tonight’s Brits taking home two gongs.
The cheeky Scot, 23, won in the Best New Artist and Best Song categories for his huge hit Someone You Loved.
In true Capaldi fashion he swigged from a bottle of beer as he marched up to the stage to collect his first statuette.
His good pal Niall Horan, in a dapper purple suit, met him with a hug and handed over the prize.
There was confusion at home though when Lewis’s short acceptance speech was muted.
The singer downed his beer and actually said: “Thank you very f***ing much” before leaving the stage.
His second gong was presented by Sir Tom Jones, and this time Lewis had a different bottle of booze in his hand: Buckfast.
He couldn’t resist pointing out that, contrary to popular belief, his hit Someone You Loved wasn’t written about Love Island’s Paige, who Lewis used to date.
It is in fact about his late grandma, but rather than dwell on the sad origins of the song, he made it into a joke about the ITV2 reality show.
US superstar Billie Eilish was lost for words as she scooped Best International Female, beating Lizzo and Ariana Grande.
She paid tribute to her fellow singers after picking up the award from a delighted Mel C.
Billie said London was her “second home” and teared up when she revealed she felt hated recently.
Tyler The Creator won Best International Male and dedicated his prize to former Prime Minister Theresa May after he was temporarily banned from the UK last year.
Mabel picked up her first ever Brit for Best Female and was given a big hug by her mum Neneh Cherry.
She also opened the show with a dazzling spectacle, drawing plaudits from viewers at home.
Foals picked up Best Group ahead of Coldplay and Bastille, while Dave’s Psychodrama won Album Of The Year.
The rapper delivered a politically charged performance and gave a shout out to those he had beaten to the prize.
