THE 2019 Brit Awards are back with a bang TONIGHT (February 20, 2019) and we cannot wait for it!
But how does voting work and how can you cast your vote? Here’s all you need to know…
How can I vote for the Brits and how do award nominees and winners get decided?
The list of eligible artists, albums, and singles is compiled by the Official Charts Company and submitted to the voting academy, which consists of over 1,000 members of the music industry, including the previous year’s nominees and winners.
The voters use a secure online website to vote, and the voting is overseen by a company called Electoral Reform Services.
For the BRITS 2019, viewers are able to vote in two categories – British Artist Video and British Breakthrough
You can vote here via Twitter for British Artist Video of the Year but be aware that votes close on Friday 15th February.
Who is hosting the Brits in 2019?
Jack Whitehall is hosting the Brit Awards this year.
He presented the glitzy bash last year and is now back for another go.
In November 2018, we exclusively revealed that the comedian had signed up for the second time.
Last year viewers were left in stitches when he asked Cheryl Tweedy and Liam Payne if they had a sex “safe” word.
And bosses were keen for Jack to return after he was dubbed “the best host in years” by viewers at the awards last February.
When is The Brit Awards on TV?
The actual Brits will be on ITV on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
As the case since 2011, London’s O2 arena will play host to the annual event.
And you can expect the creme de la creme of the British music industry to descend upon the famous stadium for the ceremony.
