Britney Spears slams internet 'bullies' after she was trolled for swimsuit pics

Britney Spears has hit out at internet bullies after getting criticised for sharing swimsuit pictures.

The Baby One More Time singer, 38, took to Instagram last night to slam those who “hurt my feelings”.

She had been compelled to speak out after trolls left unkind comments of pictures of her posing in a white one piece.

And Britney answered their criticism by posting a motivational quote to her Instagram account, reading: “Nobody watches you harder than people who can’t stand you.”

The mum-of-two urged people to be kind to each other in “hard times”, referencing the ongoing panic about the coronavirus outbreak.

She shared this quote on Instagram

Britney captioned the post: “I’ve read a lot of things online of people criticizing my posts …. saying I post the same 15 pictures with the same red background and wearing the same white bathing suit.

“For me I get really excited about my posts …. and I like to share them with you all !!!! I’ve never owned a white bathing suit before and I simply liked the red background !!!!

“Reading all of the mean comments really hurts my feelings …. and I wanted to share because you really shouldn’t be saying all of these mean things to someone you don’t even know .… this goes for bullying anyone really !!!!!!

“Hard times like we are currently living through should really teach us to be nice to one another …. !!!!!!”

Britney also answered criticism of a now deleted post in which she seemed to have shared a picture of horses.

She finished the post: “I think it’s important to see things that bring happiness during hard times and making light of a situation can sometimes help people !!!!

It comes after a difficult month for the former child star amid what appears to be a growing family feud.

Her son Jayden, 13, shocked fans when she called her dad Jamie a “d**k” in an Instagram live post.

Britney, who is also mum to Sean, 14, hasn’t had full control over her business and personal life ever since her public breakdown in 2008.

She was entered into a legally mandated conservatorship – also known as a legal guardianship – which means that her father Jamie has control of her financial affairs and daily life.

Her fans have started a #FreeBritney movement in a bid to free her from her father’s control.
