Britney Spears found an interesting way to respond to conspiracy theorists who are convinced the popstar doesn’t post her own videos on social media.

The Baby One More Time singer caught wind of comments trolls have been making on her Instagram posts, apparently suggesting that someone is running her account and writing captions on her behalf instead.

Clearly Britney, 37, takes pride in managing her social media and decided to respond in video which shows her obviously holding the camera.

She told her Instagram followers: ‘For those of you who don’t think I post my own videos, I did this video yesterday, so you’re wrong, but hope you like it.’

A second clip shows Britney modelling various outfits, including neon mini dresses, and dancing around to Rihanna’s 2010 song Man Down.

It comes after fans questioned whether Britney was really behind her recent Instagram posts after noticing that a video, shared earlier in May, of the singer dancing to Michael Jackson was actually from March 2018.

Britney is taking time out from music to focus on her mental health after completing a 30-day stint at a rehab facility in April.

The Womanizer singer was due to launch a Las Vegas residency in February but cancelled the shows when her father, Jamie Spears, fell seriously ill.

In recent weeks, Britney and her mother Lynne have been in court trying to gain access to the popstar’s medical records.

The pair are reportedly hoping to end the decade-long conservatorship that was granted to Jamie, giving him control of Britney’s assets.

Fans also feared that Britney’s music career could be over when her manager, Larry Rudolph, suggested she may never return to performing.

However, he later clarified his comments and said Britney may not resume her Las Vegas residency at all.
