Does Britney Spears have some happier news after weeks of court drama?

The pop star has been pictured with a new accessory on her left ring finger as she enjoyed a cruise down Malibu Canyon.

The 37-year-old has been out and about in recent days including a late night dinner with boyfriend Sam Asghari and Saturday errands in Westlake, California – and the smile hasn’t left her face.

Britney and Sam have been dating since 2016 and the Toxic singer, who recently completed her stay in a rehab facility after her father fell seriously ill, posted a string of gorgeous snaps with her personal trainer boyfriend after attributing her recovery to him earlier this month.

‘I love this man @samasghari,’ she wrote on Instagram.

Sam is in his mid-20s and appeared in Britney’s raunchy music video Slumber Party, playing the singer’s love interest, which is where they are thought to have met.

The Toxic singer headed to court earlier this month with her mother, Lynne Spears, in an attempt to gain access to her medical files.

But it reignited the #FreeBritney movement that first emerged when Jamie was granted the conservatorship over his daughter’s assets in 2008.

Reports now claim that an investigation into Britney’s conservatorship – including financial affairs, medical care and personal life – will be launched, and the singer is expected to undergo an expert evaluation after it was revealed that she has had ‘no legal control’ over important matters in her life for the past 11 years.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Britney for comment.
