Britney Spears fans fear for her welfare after singer behaves erratically in video

Britney Spears thanked her fans for their support after she failed to take back control of her finances and personal affairs, but sparked renewed fears for her welfare in a video she posted.

On Wednesday she lost her battle to have her father removed as her sole conservator which means he has control of much of her life.

In a video on Instagram she posted she lists her favourite things, which fans said had come out of the blue, the singer spoke rapidly and could be seen rocking from side-to-side.

Many, who have been supporting Ms Spears’s wish to remove her father as sole conservator and had been campaigning under the name #freebritney, were shocked by her behaviour.

One commented on how it didn’t “even sound like her”. Another posted: “Britney’s body language shows there is something wrong with her.”

Her worrying display came alongside a message she posted on Instagram thanking her “real fans” for supporting her during her battle against the conservatorship agreement which has been in place since 2008.

She wrote: “I feel like we will look back at this time in quarantine as a huge transitional stage in our lives ….. we don’t know when things will go back to normal but we are staying positive and learning so much about ourselves !!!!

“For me I want to thank all my dear … sweet … real fans for being so damn wonderful !!! I can feel your hearts and I know you can feel mine … thank you for your support!!!”

Ms Spears’s father, Jamie Spears, was granted control of much of the singer’s finances and personal affairs after she had a very public meltdown in 2008.

However, in 2019 Mr Spears stepped back from the role because of ill health.

The singer’s manager Jodi Montgomery took over and Ms Spears had hoped that this arrangement could remain but had also asked for an expert to deal with her financial affairs.
