Britney Spears has become the unexpected poster girl for staying in self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic, and fans are loving her work.

The singer shared a poster drawn by artist Patricia Urrutia featuring Britney in her …Baby One More Time schoolgirl outfit, holding a bottle of hand sanitiser aloft.

The lyrics ‘My loneliness is killing me’ were crossed out and replaced with ‘My loneliness is saving me’, as well as the hashtag #StayHome.

Britney shared the image and told her followers: ‘Enough said and thank you to all of the healthcare workers tirelessly working to keep us safe during this time!!!! #WorldHealthDay#ThanksHealthHeroes’.

Fans were obsessed with Britney’s public service announcement, and took to the comments to sound off.

They wrote: ‘This is so iconic, like… So many levels of iconicity’, ‘Thank you Britney! We needed this reminder’ and ‘QUEEN OF QUARANTINE’.

Others added: ‘Stay Homeney’, ‘Legends only!!!!!!!’ and ‘Britney wins the internet today’.

People in several countries around the world, including America, have been told to remain in their homes during the coronavirus outbreak.

The public are advised to only leave their homes for essential journeys to buy food or medicine, medical treatment, to travel to and from work if they can’t work from home and for exercise.

The measures have been put in place to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus from person to person in order to relieve the strain on health services and to prevent as many deaths from occurring.

Britney has been isolating at her home in Los Angeles, and encouraging others to do the same (self-isolate in their own homes, not hers, obvs).

It looks like fans will be looking to Britney for more tips on getting through the weeks in solitude – or at least some more selfies and outfit shots to keep them entertained.
