BRITS looking for a cheap getaway are in luck.
British Airways are currently offering return flights for just £1 and there are lots of destinations across the UK and the rest of Europe up for grabs.

There is just one catch – you need to be a member of BA’s Executive Club and you need to have enough points to pay for the trips.
But you don’t have to be a frequent flyer to rack up the points.
Here’s what you need to know…
How do I get the £1 flights?
BA have been trialling their reward flights to a few selected destinations but now they want to roll it out across Europe.
You basically pay £1 for the flights, plus Avios points, which you can collect by flying with BA or through one of its partners.
The number of points you need will depend on where you’re going and the class you’re travelling.
They vary between peak and off peak season, but they don’t tend to fluctuate otherwise as BA only releases a limited number of these reward flights.
To book, you would need to join BA’s Executive Club and search for the reward flights through their website or app.
You can only get the flights if you’ve gained at least one Avios point in the last 12 months – read on to find out how even if you haven’t booked a flight.
And once you’ve picked, you can decide how to pay.
How many points do I need?
As mentioned, the number of points you need will depend on where you’re going to and when, as well as what class you’re travelling in.
According to BA, they are offering return flights to Edinburgh during peak season for £1 plus 16,000 Avios points.
And return flights to Venice costs 22,000 points plus £1.
If you don’t have enough points, BA are still running their previous reward scheme.
So instead of paying £1 plus 16,000 points to go to Edinburgh, you’d pay £31 plus 9,000 points.
And to Venice, it would be £35 plus 15,000 points.
Why you don’t need to be a frequent flyer
Obviously it helps if you fly frequently, as the most well-known way to get the Avios points is to fly with BA or book one of their holidays.
But actually, you don’t need to fly as many times as you think.
Even if you just took one long haul flight a, year you’ll be half way there, depending on where you went and the type of ticket you bought.
But even if you don’t have any travel plans at all, you can still collect points.
