Britain’s Got Talent’s Simon Cowell and Ant McPartlin brush off massive blunder after listing wrong star as finalist

Following an awkward live blunder last night Ant McPartlin did not look too fussed as he was seen leaving the studios in high-spirits with girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett.

The third Britain’s Got Talent semi-final had a messy end on 29 May when the wrong contestant was added onto the finalist leaderboard.

But the presenter did not let the gaffe dampen his mood as he was pictured in a car leaving the venue in his casual clothes after changing out of his usual suit.

Ant, 43, and Anne-Marie, 42, went public with their relationship in 2018 and have since been by each other’s side in multiple public sightings.

Judge Simon Cowell, followed closely behind in his own taxi and looked pretty eager to wind down and forget about the awkward incident as he cracked open a bottle of beer.

On Wednesday night’s show, as Kojo Anim and Chelsea Pensioner Colin Thackery were announced as the evening’s winners, the current line-up of the upcoming BGT finals appeared on screen.

Except, instead of comedian Siobhan Phillips taking up the slot for the Tuesday night judges’ choice, stunt magician Matt Stirling, who made it to the top three alongside her, appeared in her place.

Matt and Siobhan went head-to-head in the judges’ choice after four-piece magic act 4MG made it through purely on public votes alone.

While the judges’ were clearly divided, Siobhan broke down in tears with joy as she won the deciding vote.

But with the Colin and Kojo taking their place on the line-up alongside Matt in the graphic, viewers were left confused over what had happened.

Naturally, after spotting it, everyone took to Twitter to discuss the BGT blunder

While she might have missed out on the graphic for Wednesday night, fans can rest assured that Siobhan, who sang a song based on her toddler daughter, will be there in time for the finals.

Though Matt didn’t make it through, there’s still a chance for him to return as the judges’ wildcard act, only to be unveiled on the finals on Sunday.

Tonight, South Korean megastars BTS will be performing on the results show, where two more stars will be announced for the final line up.

Among those making their case are controversial harpist Ursula Burns (who was accused of ‘getting off’ with her instrument in her audition), aerial performers A&J, magician Ben Hart and singer Mark McMullan.

Britain’s Got Talent continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
