Britain’s Got Talent’s David Walliams has joked that there’s sexual tension between his fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell behind-the-scenes.
Ahead of the hit ITV show’s return to our television screens next week for the first series of The Champions, the comedian discussed whether things get heated when the cameras stop rolling.
As Alesha confessed that things ‘always’ get a bit intense, David admitted: ‘There’s a lot of sexual tension, but not in the way you might imagine.’
The group burst into laughter and Amanda continued giggled: ‘It’s a good thing that me and Alesha are in the middle, that’s all I’m saying.’
Although The Champions is yet to land on ITV, Simon has confirmed that the series could be returning every year meaning Susan Boyle might be booked to compete in the distant future.
‘I don’t think she should have done it this year,’ he admitted on Lorraine.
‘She did America’s Got Talent: The Champions and I hope that, if this does well, we’ll do it again next year and it becomes an annual event,’ the always confident Simon, who was mercilessly mocked by his co-stars about his appearance, continued. ‘[You’ve] got to save something.’
The series kicks off this Saturday on ITV1 and will air over six weeks, with a number of BGT’s most successful winners are set to return to the stage.
These include singer Paul Potts, comedian Lost Voice Guy and dancer George Sampson, while audience faves Twist and Pulse and Stavros Flatley will also compete, alongside new acts from the global Got Talent franchise.
Fans will have to try and avoid spoilers though, as the pre-recorded show’s winning act showed off their trophy and leaked the results.
