Some Britain’s Got Talent viewers have been left fuming as ITV went down during the show, meaning they couldn’t watch the show.
Fans who had been watching the semi-final on Virgin Media flocked to Twitter to complain they were unable to watch, with a message on screen simply stating the ‘channel is currently unavailable’.
Many stated Channel 4 was also off air, so they couldn’t catch up with Gogglebox.
‘ITV down can’t watch BGT, can’t vote,’ an upset fan said, while one commented: ‘Missed half of BGT thanks to @virginmedia ITV gone down.’
‘ITV & CH4 have gone down DY8 @virginmedia Mised the end of #BGT2019 and the start of @C4Gogglebox ,’ another viewer posted.
‘Seriously unimpressed that #virgins ITV & CH4 have gone down since 8.45 and they’re still not back on …. Missing #corrie #Gogglebox #bgt,’ a Twitter user wrote.
‘Missed the last probably 3 acts so no votes from me I’m afraid as #VirginMedia decided to go down resulting in me not being able to see anything other than a blank screen! #BGT2019 @BGT @virginmedia @ITV,’ a customer added.
ITV confirmed the show was down for some, tweeting: ‘We’re hearing that some people maybe experiencing technical issues. Please bear with us whilst we investigate.’
And a tweet from Virgin Media’s official account added: ‘Please don’t contact with regards to ITV and Channel 4 being down as it is a known fault that has already been logged.
‘We are currently working on a fix and really sorry that your missing BGT (sic).’
Britain’s Got Talent final kicks off on Sunday, at 7:30pm, on ITV.
