Britain's Got Talent The Champions start date, contestants, judges, trailer

ITV has just aired the trailer for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, an all-star edition of the series. BGT contestants like Paul Potts, Stavros Flatley and Connie Talbot are expected to return for The Champions, though there has been some doubt as to whether Susan Boyle will return. Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions is expected to have the same judges as the regular version of the show.

When does Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions start?

The BGT: The Champions trailer revealed that the show would be starting in August.

However, as this is the first time the format has aired in the UK, it is difficult to know when episodes will air.

Instead of airing on Saturdays for a number of weeks before a week of live finals, BGT: The Champions may be a shorter series that runs over a week.

The US version of the format, America’s Got Talent: The Finals, however, aired over seven Saturdays, so the UK version may follow suit.

Who are the Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions contestants?

The series will combine former winners and Golden Buzzer acts with fan favourites and a number of star acts from across the world.

Among the reportedly confirmed acts are season one winner Paul Potts, Stavros Flatley and 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler, who won as part of Ashleigh and Pudsey but is now performing with new dog Sully since Pudsey died two years ago.

Other rumoured contestants are George Sampson, Jai McDowall, Collabro, Ben Hart, Twist and Pulse, Connie Talbot, Daliso Chaponda, Jack Carroll, Lost Voice Guy, Alex Magala, Bars and Melody, Merseygirls and Boogie Storm, as well as performers from Got Talent series from across the world like America’s Vicki Barbolak and Paul Zerdin, Ukraine’s Kseniya Simonova and Australia’s Bonnie Anderson.

Susan Boyle was announced to be taking part during the 2019 season of Britain’s Got Talent, though she is rumoured to be not included in the contestants due to scheduling issues, with Diversity also said to be too busy to compete.
