The teen certainly proved that to be true, as he broke into a menagerie of moves, which started off with a Bollywood-inspired routine.

He then moved into more modern dance as he performed to Starships by Nicki Minaj, which saw him drop into a split and declare that kids shouldn’t be underestimated and that ‘fat people can dance’.

Admitting that he was ‘not expecting that’, Simon Cowell gushed that Akshat was going to inspire ‘lots of kids’ watching the show, and praised him for making ‘everyone happy’

Shock: While knife thrower feared he would ‘seriously injure’ Simon, after the judge volunteered to take part in his act

This comes after Simon took the place of knife thrower Andrei Gomonov’s glamorous assistant Daria in Saturday’s episode of the competition show.

Simon stood against a black board as the daredevil threw seven blades towards him – and the audience and his fellow judges gasped at the stunt.

Before Simon stepped up, Andrei and Daria wowed with their performance as David confessed afterwards: ‘It’s one of those acts that makes you feel incredibly uncomfortable because there’s so much danger involved but for talent and bravery that is ten out of ten, incredible!

While Alesha Dixon said: You guys together are so gorgeous as well, and you’re so hot which does make the whole act better i loved every moment want to see more.’

Amanda Holden added: ‘It was really thrilling and I know you’ve got more to give.’

Simon then added: ‘Don’t know what was the worst for who the one who have the knife thrown at or the one throwing the knives because if you kill her and you’ll go to prison, or you will die.’

The X Factor judge added that ‘part of me wants to feel what that’s like’, before he stepped onto stage.

After the terrifying ordeal, Simon says: ‘Why I wanted to do that was because I wanted to feel what it was like, it was terrifying.’

His fellow judge David Walliams, 47, told the knife thrower ‘You could’ve killed him when you had the chance’ as Simon left the stage.

And the Belarusian knife thrower confessed to The Sun that he was worried he might ‘leave him seriously injured’ as he ‘didn’t know what Simon would do’.

Andrei said: ‘This was high stakes. It was more dangerous because I didn’t know what Simon would do. I know my partner. She knows not to be scared and not to move.

‘But I didn’t know if Simon might move. I worried I might leave him seriously injured. I had small nerves. I’m a professional, I must be ready and keep my focus.’
