Simon Cowell is floored by a magician who performs the most astonishing act involving Eric Cowell during tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent.

BGT is back when we need it most tonight, with arguably the best dog act of all time and a choir which reduces Amanda Holden to tears.

Honestly, prepare to weep.

But before all that, James Piper, 38, shuffles on stage with a heap of surprises up his sleeve for Simon, most revolving around his son Eric.

After asking the music mogul to pick a dream Christmas present, a random card from a full deck and the name of the person who means the most to him, the 60-year-old has the shock of his life when James has set up a huge stunt involving Eric, six, and his own son Dylan, 13.

Let’s just say it involves a speed boat, little Eric and one humongous reveal.

Also, Eric runs over to the judges to sit on Simon’s lap and it’s pretty darn cute.

‘That was really, really special,’ Simon beamed. ‘I love the fact it was a family affair and everything linked to him and I. I really liked the presentation.

‘It was a really great audition for all of you.’

But will David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda all agree?

Britain’s Got Talent’s auditions were filmed weeks before the coronavirus lockdown, with the live finals currently postponed until a later date.

Britain’s Got Talent airs tonight at 8pm on ITV.
