Bride confuses guests with strange wedding registry – including panty liners

In the lead up to a wedding, some couples choose to register certain items that guests can purchase as gifts.

Typically the registry is made up of homeware and things the bride and groom will need for their new life together.

But every so often a couple can get a little carried away and register for some rather over-the-top presents.

And sometimes they register for some downright bizarre stuff.

One bride-to-be has just been called out online over her very strange wedding registry, which appears to include panty liners.

The list of gifts featured some unusual items

As well as towels she’d also asked for panty liners (stock photo)

In a post on Reddit, an unnamed user shared a screenshot of their colleague’s registry, which as well as containing fancy hand towels, also featured panty liners and cough sweets.

And much to the entertainment of the wedding guest – someone had actually purchased the panty liners for the bride.

The poster then encouraged other users to share the weirdest things they’d ever seen on a registry, writing: “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen on someone’s wedding registry? Browsing through my coworker’s registry I saw that not only did she register for panty liners, but someone actually bought them…”

And people did not hold back with their answers.

One person admitted they added toilet paper to their own wedding gift list.

They explained: “I did with toilet paper and paper towels. Cottonelle is expensive and my husband and I didn’t need a lot of stuff. People thought it was hilarious and we got a decent amount of TP. Win-win.”

Another said: “My husband’s cousin registered for wipes in her wedding registry. I bought her some because they are handy to have around the house and it was on her registry. It turns out they were just testing out the machine and the wipes were close by.”

“Actually, some of our wedding registry looked a bit odd. We included some things that we absolutely did need that don’t go on a usual registry, like toiletries and medication dosettes, because we have friends who don’t have a lot of money but wanted to make sure we got what we needed,” confessed someone else.

A fourth person added: “Maybe it’s for the wedding? I went to a wedding recently that had a huge basket in the women’s restroom, where the bride had put tampons, pads, deodorant, a sewing kit, dry shampoo, ect for women that needed it! The basket was pretty much empty by the end of the night.”
