Brexiteer Nick Ferrari hails general election as cure for 'evil toxicity' within Britain

Rachel Johnson, Nick Ferrari and Trevor Phillips were discussing the December 12th general election during The Pledge on Sky News. Rachel Johnson asked: “Will a general election sort out Brexit?” Mr Ferrari replied: “I sincerely hope so because all the main parties positions are utterly clear if you want us to leave the European Union you know for which party you must vote, if you want a referendum, everybody is saying this.”

He continued: “The most important thing, is that this is needed to just try and calm the country down.

“There is an evil toxicity which needed the boil to be lanced.

“I believe the general election will do it.

“I believe it is absolutely right and I actually said almost three cheers when he got the vote.”

The discussion then turned to Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn’s chances of winning the upcoming general election.

Trevor Phillips said: “There are two facts here. Number one, this country will not elect Jeremy Corbyn as its Prime Minister.

“It just won’t. Every piece of data tells you.

“Minus 60 percent approval ratings, worst in history.”

Polling found eight out of ten voters believe Mr Corbyn has handled Brexit badly.

Just 15 percent were satisfied with his leadership while 75 percent were not, giving him an overall score of minus 60.

Boris Johnson, by contrast, scored net two, the best score for a party leader since 2017.

Asked about his dismal polling rating, Mr Corbyn said: “It’s not about me, it’s not about any individual on this platform, it’s not a presidential election.”
