Brexit boost: EU will cave to Boris's demands otherwise Varadkar is ‘f*****’ says minister

The Prime Minister is sure Brussels will make their decision next month, No10 sources have told The Sun. Some diplomats are reportedly waiting to see whether Parliament delay or reverse Brexit before engaging with him. The revelation comes as Mr Johnson is said to blame Remain MPs for any delay to renegotiations on the backstop with the EU.

Mr Johnson’s close confidantes have said Europe’s leaders will work with the new Prime Minister to aid Ireland.

One Cabinet minister told The Sun: “The EU will give us a better deal, because if they don’t Ireland is f*. No Deal will destroy it.

“No deal hurts us, the EU and Ireland – but it hurts Ireland the most.

“A lot of Irish trade goes to Britain, and much of the rest comes through us to Europe.”

The minister added: “Varadkar has overplayed his hand. He’s in deep trouble and needs a way out”.

The prediction comes as EU countries make up almost half of Ireland’s exports and 64 percent of its imports.

A No10 source added: “The EU are sitting back and waiting to see what Parliament does.

“So if there is to be a deal, it will come very late now. That is because of all the noise coming from the Remain side, but it’s also the history of the EU, it’s always last minute.”

The news comes as British officials are set to withdraw from EU meetings in a final warning to Brussels as the exit deadline of October 31 looms.

Diplomats will stop attending daily meetings involved in the bloc’s decision making to reinforce the warning the UK will leave the EU.

They had been expected to take their seats alongside remaining EU27 counterparts at upcoming EU working group meetings overseeing issues on security, the joint response to any future crises involving civilians, foreign affairs and the protection of consumer interests.

There are some 150 diplomats part of the UK’s permanent representation in Brussels during the drafting of EU positions and regulations.
