With coronavirus spreading, the government is asking us to stay home from work and avoid going to pubs or restaurants.

One group of pubs has come up with a way to allow you to continue to enjoy the pub experience from the comfort of your own home, as well as supporting a small business through the crisis.

Brewery Signature Brew are behind three London venues – Blackhorse Beer Mile brewery bar, The Collab in Walthamstow and Taproom in Haggerston.

As well as offering a click and collect service at the pub, they are launching the Pub In A Box.

Starting at £25, you can get the set delivered to your house and have a night at the pub with others in your household to stick to self-isolation rules.

The box includes a selection of their award-winning beers, with glassware, beer mats, snacks, a music quiz and exclusive playlists curated by music journalists to accompany the beers themselves.

Signature Brew Co-Founder Sam MacGregor said:’We think it’s best to remain calm, carry on with life, support local and to support artists however we can, without being alarmist but with a good eye on what the powers that be, advise us to do.

‘We’re planning one hell of a piss–up in a brewery when all of this blows over.’

They’re also drafting in musicians who may be out of work during the pandemic due to cancelled gigs, to help them make some money.

Sam added: ‘We have beer to deliver and want to support musicians however we can, especially in these tough times.

‘For our drinkers who may be staying at home right now, we can’t think of anything better than receiving cold, brewery-fresh beers, hand-delivered by someone from a band we love.’

An eight can box costs £25, 16 cans cost £45 and it’s 24 cans for £60.

You can buy the Pub In A Box online now.
