BREAKING Five Bulgaria fans arrested following vile racist abuse of England stars

Five Bulgaria fans have been arrested following the vile racist abuse aimed at England stars in Sofia on Monday night.

Three Lions players including debutant Tyrone Mings and two-goal Raheem Sterling were targeted by abhorrent racists during England’s 6-0 win in Euro 2020 qualifying.

And Bulgarian police have now identified five of the culprits and made arrests.

Clearly audible monkey chants were heard at various stages of the match while TV cameras also picked up supporters performing Nazi salutes.

The match was twice stopped during the first half as part of UEFA’s three-step anti-racism protocol, but England opted to complete the game.

More to follow.
