Days of Our Lives star John Clarke has died at the age of 88.
The soap actor passed away “peacefully” at his home in Laguna Beach, California, his daughter, The OC actress Melinda Clarke confirmed.
He was one of the original cast members of the long-running show, appearing in the debut episode in 1965.
John played Mickey Horton in total for 39 years before retiring in 2004.
Throughout his career he appeared in numerous TV shows, including The Twilight Zone, Dr Quinn Medicine Woman and Maverick.
His film roles included Judgement At Nuremberg, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World, Man Missing and The Satan Bug.
Melinda, who also appeared on Days of Our Lives playing Faith Taylor, confirmed news of his passing to Entertainment Weekly.
A trained opera singer, she sang Ave Maria to her father as he died.
