Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul send fans crazy with reunion photo ahead of new film

Breaking Bad co-stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have sent fans into a frenzy by reuniting.

The pair, who portrayed terminally-ill chemistry teacher, Walter White, and drug dealer, Jesse Pinkman, in the hit AMC drama, posed with a glass of mezcal in the Dominican Republic.

Posting a picture of himself and Cranston on Instagram, Paul captioned the post: “Drink well. Drink responsibly. How are you drinking your @doshombres?”

The snap has an idyllic beach sunset as the backdrop, and shows the two actors sporting co-ordinating, all-white outfits.

Social media users were delighted to see the actors together again ahead of the six-year anniversary of the Breaking Bad finale airing.

Actor Aaron Taylor Johnson replied: “Wish I was there drinking it with you guys!”

One fan suggested the snap showed how the programme should have concluded, writing: “This is how Breaking Bad should have ended. Luv this shot [sic].”

Stand-up comic Brent Morin said: “This needs to be a water color painting in the front entrance of your house, so when people come over that’s the first thing they see.”

Referencing the crystal meth the pair’s Breaking Bad characters manufactured, a fan joked: “You guys should make a blue one.”

Another added: “So they have their own liquor company now and I love that this is the world we live in now.”

The social media activity comes after Netflix revealed the title and release date for the upcoming Breaking Bad film.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will arrive on the streaming service on October 11.

It will see Paul return as Pinkman and is written by the show’s creator Vince Gilligan.

El Camino will see Jesse escape from captivity and “come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future,” according to Netflix.

It is unclear if Cranston will return to star in the film.

The crime drama arrived with little fanfare in 2008, but by the time the final episode aired it was a beloved series, commonly regarded as one of the best TV shows ever.

Breaking Bad also starred Anna Gunn as Walter’s wife Skyler while RJ Mitte played his son.

The series spawned a spin-off prequel, Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk as a slippery lawyer.
