Breakfast at Tiffany’s: A Tiffany & Co. café is opening at Harrods next month

If you’ve always dreamed of, quite literally, having breakfast at Tiffany’s, then your time has arrived.

The American jewellery brand has announced it will open its first European Blue Box Café next month.

The first ever Blue Box Café opened at the brand’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City in 2017 and the concept is now expanding across the pond as it prepares to open within Harrods.

“We are excited to introduce the Tiffany Blue Box Café to Europe – and it seems only fitting to do so at Harrods, one of the world’s most iconic department stores,” Richard Moore, divisional vice president, global store design and creative visual merchandising of Tiffany & Co said. “We have a long-standing presence in London and by introducing the Tiffany Blue Box Café here, we offer our customers in this city yet another way to immerse themselves in the world of Tiffany.”.

Harrods’ will be the fourth outpost of Tiffany’s restaurant concept: following the launch in New York, the brand also opened outposts in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The original Blue Box Café was inspired by the infamous scene in the 1961 film, in which Audrey Hepburn gazes longingly into the store’s windows, coffee and croissant in hand.

Guests at the café will be able to enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner, while being surrounded by what the brand hopes will feel like one of the brand’s infamous blue boxes.

The Tiffany Blue Box Café at Harrods opens in February 2020; 87-135 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7XL, harrods.com.
