Brazil 1-1 Senegal

90 min: It’s Neymar again who suddenly appears to have woken up during this last ten minutes. He’s at the centre of a quick sequence of one-touch passes but Koulibaly is there to make the interception.

81 min: Everton suddenly switches gear and tears directly towards Senegal’s goal. Richarlison is waiting to his left but the through-ball is a fraction overhit and Gomis rushes off his line well to clear the danger. Richarlison is sent airborne in the process and is taking some time to lick his wounds.

78 min: A change for Senegal as Idrissa Gueye makes way for Stoke’s Badou Ndiaye.

It’s Richarlison who has taken up the central striking role for Brazil.

77 min: We’re back underway and Brazil are immediately on the attack. Neymar skips past a couple of challenges flamboyantly and attempts to flick a through ball over the head of the last defender. It’s headed clear but can only fall to Everton who drags a low shot wide of the near post.

75 min: Time for another cooling break…

From the breakaway, Neymar dribbles into Senegal’s half and is tackled brilliantly by Sarr. However, with Brazil’s talisman rolling and pirouetting on the floor, the referee gives into the pressure and awards a free-kick.
