Bradley Walsh: The Chase star’s son sparks confusion with ‘mistaken identity’ post

Bradley Walsh’s son Barney Walsh, 22, shared two pictures of himself with Brian Conley, 57, during a night out on Instagram last month. In one snap, the pair smiled for the camera as Brian placed his arm around Barney. In another, Barney glanced over at Brian as he pulled a funny face for the camera. The Chase star’s son shared the pictures in view of his 50,000 followers.

In the caption, he couldn’t resist joking about the resemblance between Brian and his dad Bradley, 59.

He commented: “Nice little night on the town with dad… @realbrianconley #mistakenidentity #itsapuppet.”

Finding his son’s remark humorous, Bradley commented on the snaps using a series of crying with laughter emojis.

Barney’s post also prompted many of his social media fans to comment.

One user wrote: “I thought he was your dad for a minute.”

A second penned: “Lol I thought I was seeing things.”

A third commented: “I was so confused for a minute.”

Bradley has son Barney with his wife Donna Derby.

He also has a daughter named Hayley from a previous relationship.

The television presenter married Donna back in 1997.

Bradley previously credited his wife Donna for helping him get his big break as Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street back in 2004.

The actor told how Donna encouraged him to persue his acting career even if “it meant being apart” from each other.

Back in 2006, he told The Mirror: “It’s because of her I signed with Coronation Street.

“She’s the one who recognised what it could do for me even though it would mean being apart.”

“I wouldn’t swap my missus for the world,” he gushed, before adding: “Donna isn’t just beautiful, she’s the most fantastic wife and mother.”

When previously asked what keeps him grounded, he also told the Huffington Post: “Definitely my family, my wife especially. Without a shadow of doubt.”

The Chase continues tonight at 5.30pm on ITV.
