Though the A-list couple has been officially broken up since 2016, it took years for their divorce to become finalised.
Angelia Jolie, 44, and Brad Pitt, 55, made their divorce official in April of this year, but they reportedly are still struggling to agree on certain terms of their separation.
The latest breakthrough came about recently, according to The Sun, when the brunette beauty asked her ex to mind their kids for the summer.
Having landed a lead role in the thriller flick Those Who Wish Me Dead, the actress will be busy on set for weeks at a time.
The publication reported that she invited Brad to mind their youngsters – Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, Knox, 11 and Vivienne, 11 – while she’s slogging away at work.
Their source claimed: “Angelina is going to be spending a lot of the summer filming Those Who Wish Me Dead, so she reached out to Brad and offered him the chance to look after the children.
“This is a massive step for them and the children, who have only had limited time with Brad since the break-up.”
Before adding: “It feels like a really positive move all round and Brad is over the moon.”

Regularly making headlines in the media, the question of who will get the custody of their six children has been a talking point for years.
The couple’s relationship has often been shrouded by controversy, especially because of the story of how they met.
Back in 2005, they fell for each other while filming the hit spy drama Mr and Mrs Smith together.
Brad was in a high-profile marriage with Friends actress Jennifer Aniston at the time, but the two eventually broke up, before he swiftly got together with Angelina.

The lovebirds tied the knot back in 2014, with the Californian bombshell wearing a dress that had been decorated with doodles by their children down the aisle.
Just two years later, unfortunately, they announced that they were parting ways, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Hopefully, now that this olive branch has been extended, the two will finally be able to live apart in peace.
