A B&Q shopper has discovered an amazing hack that allowed her to get £77 worth of paint for just £8.
Ashleigh Kisby-Duffy, a 20 year old who lives in the North West of the UK, was looking for paint for her new home.

She planned to buy tester pots in B&Q – a tactic she’s used before to get cheap decorating materials – but a staff member put her onto an even better approach.
He told her to go to the trade section and ask for the clearance paint.
When she followed his instructions she was shown to a huge pile of custom-mix paints all at bargain prices.
She said: “Last year, I bought tester paint pots for 10p each and I got 40 total for £4.

“I’ve now ran out of those paints, so I came back to ask for them again. But this time I got a different response.
“The staff member I asked told me to go to the trade section and ask for their clearance paints.
“I was thinking great, this time I can choose what colours I get, [because] last time he gave me a crate of random colours.
“I follow his advice and ask at the trade desk and they point me over to the pile at the back.”

She picked up four tins of paint for just £8, when they should have cost £77.
With all the money off, the discount worked out at 90 per cent.
That included an enormous 2.5 litre tin of paint for just £3.
In total, she managed to pick up five and half litres at rock bottom prices.
She said: “I was surprised to see a big pile of clearance paints.
“I asked the man at the desk why they were so cheap and he said they are paints that people order and don’t collect so these are all custom mixed paints.

“The man at the desk was happy to open them up and let me see the colours before buying.”
The paint is significantly cheaper than shoppers will be able to find elsewhere.
Ashleigh had picked up a 2.5 litre tin of blue paint in discounter B&M the previous day and spent £11.
The same size tin at B&Q was just £3 and because it’s paint people haven’t bothered collecting, you can get access to custom colours cheaply.
Now Ashleigh is all set to decorate her home, which she has recently moved into.
She said: “I plan to paint my house… and paint a few feature walls.
“I used to paint my bedroom walls as a teen and I really loved expressing myself in that way rather than buying expensive dreary wallpaper.”
Ashleigh was in the B&Q in Stockport when she discovered the money saving tip, but it’s well worth asking whether your local one has a trade clearance section too.
A B&Q spokesperson said: “All clearance items, including paint, vary from store to store and are at the store manager’s discretion.
“Tradepoint counters can be found at approximately 170 B&Q stores.”
B&Q also has a clearance section on its website, but the deals are no way near as good as the ones Ashleigh spotted in store.
