Bournemouth vs Liverpool confirmed line-ups: Team news and more ahead of Premier League clash today

Liverpool meet Bournemouth today in a game which could see Jurgen Klopp’s league leaders open up an 11-point advantage at the top of the table.

Bournemouth are in woeful form with four defeats in a row stalling their season, and Eddie Howe knows his side face an enormous task this afternoon.

Liverpool by contrast cannot stop winning and come into the game as major favourites to extend their lead at the top of the league, with Leicester City to play on Sunday. Follow all the action live following the conclusion of Everton vs Chelsea:

4 mins: GOAL! From outside the box, Harry Kane picks up the ball and strikes it well, beating the goalkeeper at the near post and giving Spurs the lead.

Bournemouth 0 – 0  Liverpool

Also underway at 3pm Tottenham take on Burnley with Watford hosting Crystal Palace.

But kick off at the Vitality Stadium is less than five minutes away… Bournemouth vs Liverpool is up next.

The Manchester Derby kicks off at 5:30pm today and it is a big, big game for both teams. A loss for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City would send them further behind Liverpool at the top of the table and Pep himself admitted he doesn’t know how to stop the Merseyside giants:

Theo Walcott and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have given their reaction to the victory over Chelsea.

Walcott said: “Duncan has come in and the club is his heart. That was the Everton way, we play for each other and Dominic was immense. We wanted intensity and pressure and to get in behind them. We put them under pressure and made them make mistakes. Duncan said go out and play your game and enjoy it. As much as it sounds a cliche, that is what we did.”

Whilst Calvert-Lewin added:  “It was a massive game for us and I have a very close relationship with Duncan. He has stuck by me for the three years I have known him. The most important thing was to go out and give 100%.”

Liverpool are in tremendous form against Bournemouth, they’ve won each of the last four meetings between the side with an aggregate score of 14-0.

Can Bournemouth change that today?

Next up on Premier League Saturday, Bournemouth host league leaders Liverpool who are looking to extend the gap at the top of the table to 11 points.
