Of the 6,492 Express.co.uk readers survey, 2,401 believe a general election should happen as soon as possible after Brexit and a further 772 people suggested it could wait until spring 2020. However, 2,207 claimed another election is not needed before 2022. Meanwhile, 909 voters disagreed and said there should be a general election before Brexit is delivered.
A total of 118 people said they didn’t know.

One Express.co.uk reader suggested that another election should not be called until Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party is ready.
Another commented: “I would like a coalition with the Brexit Party as I think neither would win because of splitting the vote.”
While person wrote: “As long as Boris takes us out on October 31 with no deal he will get back into Number 10 no problem.

Mr Hancock said: “I haven’t talked to Dominic or to the Prime Minister or anybody else in Westminster about this. The only people who keep raising this point are journalists.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said he will call for a vote of no confidence in the government this autumn to try to stop a no deal Brexit.
Mr Corbyn said the party would do this “when we can win it”, but added it would be at an “appropriate very early time”.
Speaking on a visit to Whaley Bridge in Derbyshire, Mr Corbyn said: “We will do everything to stop no deal including a no confidence vote at the appropriate very early time to do it.
“The Prime Minister seems to be trying to slip no-deal through, slip past Parliament and slip past the British people.

“Sorry, no-deal will be really serious.
“Serious for food prices, for medical supplies, for trade, for investment, and drive us straight into the hands of the sort of trade deal that Donald Trump wants to do with Boris Johnson.
“I’m sorry, it’s not on, it’s not acceptable. We will do everything we can to block it.
“There will be a no-confidence motion put at a point when we can win it and a point when we can make sure this Government is not allowed to take this country out of the union with no deal, because of all the dangers there will be to the people of this country.”

But when he was asked whether he would be preparing to fight a general election based on Labour winning a vote of no confidence, Mr Johnson said: “No. The answer is no.
“The people of the UK voted in the election 2015, they had a referendum in 2016, and another election in 2017.
“They want us to deliver what they asked for – and that is for us to leave the EU. The last thing I want to do is call another election.”
At an earlier briefing for political journalists at Westminster, the Prime Minister’s spokesman repeatedly refused to be drawn on what the Government would do if MPs voted against no-deal, saying it was a “hypothetical” question.
The spokesman said: ”The legal default, as put in place by Parliament, is that we will be leaving on October 31.”
