The argument started when Mr O’Brien asked for promises that Mr Johnson had kept following a number of broken promises by the Prime Minister. The caller named Carl, who said he was waiting for a train, stated that Boris had always supported the LGBT community with his votes in Parliament.
Carl said: “You asked for an example of Boris Johnson keeping to his word, well as a journalist he always promoted gay rights.
“As an MP he has followed that through, he has voted on civil partnerships and he has always toed that line against what sits well with Tories so you wanted an example there is one.”
James O’Brien quipped back: “Yes, apart from the time he talked about tank-topped bum boys.”
Stunned by this information, Carl stuttered back: “I don’t know about that, in what context did he say that?

“I’m pretty sure he didn’t say that.”
James O’Brien then proceeded to provide several examples of derogatory terms and sentences that Boris had used to describe homosexuals from his career as a journalist.
James then said: “Carl leave it, mate.”
However, Carl continued to defend Boris: “He has voted all along with gay rights, look at the bills he has voted for.”
Carl persisted further: “The bottom line James is nobody cares what he does.”
James continued to push: “Carl, get on the train.”
This was the final straw for Carl, who in anger said: “James, you’re a snowflake loser.”
The phone call was then terminated.
