Boris Johnson ORDERS Juncker and Barnier to UK to open Brexit talks in first PM move

Mr Johnson is reported to have made the move of inviting the two top Eurocrats to London while a further three weeks of nationwide hustings remain ongoing. The move itself is a stark contrast to Mrs May’s technique of getting a last-minute flight to Brussels with haste. Mr Juncker famously boasted of only ever visiting London twice during the June 2016 Brexit vote, the Mail On Sunday reports.

The move would be his first as Prime Minister.

The demand comes after an intense round of hustings in Manchester that saw him talk about Brexit and the importance of respecting the vote from three years ago.

He declared: “The will of the people must prevail.”

He vowed to to have any Remainers in his Cabinet should he win the coveted role of leader of the Conservative Party, adding they were a “drag on process”.

He also said he would pull the UK out of the EU without a deal if nothing new was offered by the bloc as part of the withdrawal agreement by the new Halloween deadline.

He added: “I’m wiling to walk away if we don’t get what we want.”

He also spoke of his deep “see of responsibility” to deliver Brexit when asked by an audience member why he would take on the role at this point.

He added that Mrs May had committed herself with a “lack of energy and lack of confidence we have bought to the negotiations”.

He concluded there was “no point in coming out of the EU and staying run by the EU”.

Meanwhile, fellow contender Jeremy Hunt defended his decision to vote Remain in the EU referendum vote.

Stan earlier hustings event in Carlisle, the Foreign Secretary said he was “worried about the short term economic impact” of Brexit but “never doubted we could make a huge success of leaving the EU”.

The news comes as current Prime Minister Theresa May appeared bored and unimpressed during her last G20 Summit.

She appeared resentful when she was pushed to the back during a group photo of all the world leaders.

The new Tory Party leader and Prime Minister will be announced July 22.
