Boris Johnson has today declared he has no idea who Nicki Minaj is as his Covid winter plan briefing took a bizarre turn, but she loves him anyway.

After the Prime Minister vowed there will be no future lockdowns, his team was grilled on the rapper’s strange claims that the jab causes impotence.

Nicki made the ‘ridiculous’ suggestion just moments after she announced she wouldn’t be attending last night’s Met Gala because she was unvaccinated.

‘I’m not as familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be,’ Mr Johnson admitted.

Responding to the dig, Nicki tweeted: ‘I love him even tho I guess this was a diss? The accent ugh! Yassss boo!!!’

2021 is wild.

Mr Johnson’s honest reply came when a journalist asked: ‘Professor Whitty, one of the world’s biggest celebrities Nicki Minaj today publicly linked the vaccine to impotence. Now, she’s got eight million followers on Twitter, many of them are young people, young people you are suggesting should get vaccinated.

‘What would you say to them and how concerned are you by public comments like that from public figures?’

Professor Whitty blasted Nicki’s claims and said her comments were ‘clearly designed to scare’.

‘My own strong suggestion, if I may, to media present and not present, is repeating it in public actually just gives it credence which they don’t need,’ he said. ‘They’re untrue, full stop.’

‘If you think about where we are actually overall, the great majority are getting vaccinated, so the great majority are ignoring these myths,’ he continued. ‘And, if you talk about people in their 50s and 60s and 70s, you’re talking about over 90% of people getting vaccinated and very few people are actively in a sense in the anti-vax group.

‘There are group of people who’ve got strange believes, fine, and they make their own choices, in a sense also fine, people are adults and are able to make their own choices however strange that is, that is a principle of medical ethics, actually.

‘But there are also people who go around trying to discourage other people from taking a vaccine which could be life saving or prevent them from having life-changing injuries to themselves.’

He concluded his passionate speech: ‘Many of those people, I regret to say, know they are peddling untruths, but they still do it. In my view, they should be ashamed.’
