B&M shopper buys trolley full of Cadbury chocs reduced to 25p each from £1.69 to give to homeless

A SAVVY shopper on Facebook found a trolley full of Cadbury selection boxes left over from Christmas in her local B&M for 25p each.

Emma Saunders found the packs of eight medium sized selection boxes weighing 153g each for just £2 in the store, making each selection box 25p.

Before Christmas, the selection boxes had been on sale in B&M for £1.69 each, or two for £3, and had been available from other retailers for as little as £1 each.

Their recommended retail price is £2.99 – almost 12 times the price Ms Saunders paid.

She loaded her trolley with 13 of the large boxes, meaning she bagged 104 selection boxes in total.

Each selection box contains a Fudge, Wispa, Dairy Milk kids bar, Double Decker, Dairy Milk Buttons and a Crunchie – so that’s a whopping 624 treats for £26.

But she said she was planning to donate 10 of the packs to homeless people, leaving her with three for her family and friends.

She posted her find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, and said she had also found lots of other Christmas chocolates reduced in the B&M store she had visited.

B&M couldn’t tell us how many selection boxes might be left in its stores – but it is likely to be quite limited so if you do go you may be disappointed.

B&M has also been selling its toys, which were on offer for two for £20 before Christmas, for just £4.

It has been slashing prices on its homeware, with bargains like this stylish lamp for £1.

And if there’s not a B&M near you there soon might be – the retailer has promised to open 46 new stores by March.
