Blotter: Man finds video games missing when he packs up to move – Denton Record Chronicle


While a man was packing to move out of a shared rental home in the 800 block of Mulkey Lane, he noticed several of his belongings were missing, according to police report. 

He reported to police Sunday that a Nintendo gaming system, games, three DVD box sets and several PlayStation games were all stolen, but he wasn’t sure when the thefts occurred, said Khristen Jones, a spokeswoman for the Denton Police Department. 

While the man didn’t suspect his roommates had stolen the games and other items, he said he didn’t know when they went went missing. The case remains active.

2400 block of Long Road — A group of three teenage swimmers at Water Works Park reported Sunday that cash was missing from their bags when they were packing up to leave the park, according to reports. Combined, they were missing $236, Jones said. 

1700 block of South Loop 288 — Two men ran into RaceTrac and stole $100.36 worth of beer just before 10 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

From 7 a.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday, the Denton Police Department handled 139 service and officer-initiated calls and made 13 arrests.
