The partnership will see SteelSeries have its own booth set up in the arena where fans can play games and win prizes. There’s no word on what else the deal entails at the time of writing.

Tony Trubridge, Director of Esports at SteelSeries spoke on the partnership in a release “SteelSeries has been a proud and invested member of the community since our humble beginnings. From being the sole sponsor of the world’s first CS:GO Major to our latest partnership with the BLAST Pro Series in Copenhagen. I’m looking forward to seeing some amazing matches played out in front of the crowd where our journey began.”

Six teams will fight for the lion’s share of the $250,000 (£194,200) prize pool at the event. Teams that will be in attendance at Copenhagen are Astralis, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, Cloud9, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Leo Matlock, Commercial Director at BLAST Pro Series also commented on the deal: “We are delighted to partner with SteelSeries for our sold-out Copenhagen tournament. SteelSeries has been an ever-present in the esports community since they were founded in Denmark – there is a natural synergy here with BLAST’s ambitions and we are excited to be doing so many great activations with them as we return home to Copenhagen.”

SteelSeries is partnered with teams such as OG, Östersunds FK Esports, NorthFaZe Clan, and Cavs Legion Gaming Club. OMEN by HPBetway, Twitch, and CS:Money are all global partners of BLAST Pro Series’ circuit in 2019.

Esports Insider says: Copenhagen, to many, is the flagship event in BLAST Pro Series’ circuit so SteelSeries has seemingly picked a solid event to get involved with. It’s hard to get too excited about the partnership if it merely involves an on-site booth, though.
