BLACKPINK’s Rosé gives us the ultimate holiday gift by releasing a cover of Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has covered Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song and we’re ready for roasting chestnuts by the fire.

The K-Pop idol has left us all feeling more festive than ever by dropping the ultimate Christmas song.

Although the rest of the singers – Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa – aren’t on the track, Rosé’s voice was enough for us to be the most festive stans.

Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song was originally released in 1961 and we bet he would have never imagined it would be covered like this.

She posted a snippet on her personal Instagram account with the caption: ‘Here’s a little Christmas gift I prepared for you guys. I did a short cover of my favourite Christmas carol, The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole.

‘I hope you like my small gift and that you all have a safe and sound Christmas. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Merry Christmas.’

Fans were quick to react to Rosé’s unique cover, with many thanking her for her ‘gift’ this Christmas.

One fan wrote on Instagram: ‘This song saved my day’ along with a sad face because this person is obviously drowning in Rosé-related emotions.

‘OMG YOUR VOICE PLEASE SO BEAUTIFUL,’ another wrote.

‘You just had to make Christmas magical with this song,’ a third added.

The Christmas Song isn’t the only thing we were gifted with, as YG Entertainment has promised a new album from BLACKPINK in early 2020.

This comes after allegations from fans that the group has been abandoned.

The girl band’s fanbase, known as Blink, have expressed their frustration at BLACKPINK’s agency, claiming that the Kill This Love singers have been under-promoted by YG in the latter half of 2019.

While the group released their worldwide smash Kill This Love in April, embarked on a world tour and played Coachella, Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo and Lisa have been relatively MIA since then, and missed a number of Asian awards shows, including the 2019 MAMAs.

This led to Blinks hiring a billboard in Seoul, listing the fans’ demands for the group – including two comebacks for BLACKPINK next year, solo release for Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, and participation in end-of-year awards shows.

Well, Blink, the tweets and messages worked, because we’re getting an album!
