Black Friday 2019 – God of War price crash and free Spotify subscription

PlayStation 4 has had some incredible exclusive games this console generation, and God of War is among the very best. Don’t worry if you haven’t played it, though – Currys PC World is offering a huge saving on the title, and a freebie to go with it.

The retailer is offering the title for just £15.99 – and throwing in a six-month Spotify Premium Membership, too. That’s a saving of £29 on the usual price of £44.99 for God of War.

Spotify costs £9.99 per month usually, so you’re essentially saving £60 without factoring in the discount on the game itself! It’s also the perfect way to binge on Bear McCreary’s epic soundtrack to God of War.

The game was the big winner at last year’s Game Awards – and for good reason. This soft-reboot sees The God of War, Kratos, leaving Greek mythology behind and finding himself at war with the Norse Gods.

God of War won Game of the Year, Best Game Direction and Best Action/Adventure Game at the ceremony – despite coming up against Rockstar’s epic Red Dead Redemption 2 in the same category.

In Express Online’s review, we called it “an absolutely essential experience” before awarding it five stars out of five. You can read the review here.

When is Black Friday 2019?

The biggest shopping event of the year, Black Friday, kicks off on November 29 this year – but many retailers have kicked off their savings already.

In fact, Currys PC World is already offering a huge array of savings – we’ve found the best of the best here.
