Black Desert Mobile Soft Launch TODAY: Start of Global release begins with Android

Android gamers will soon be able to play Black Desert Mobile in certain regions around the world.

Pearl Abyss revealed the news earlier this month, confirming they had plans to soft launch the game on October 24.

This means that not everyone will be able to download the game and play it, with Pre-Registering still the main option for most.

And it should also be noted that today’s rollout is only happening for Black Desert Mobile fans on the Android platform.

The Black Desert Mobile Soft Launch will be happening in these regions today, October 24: Australia, Canada, Chile, Ireland, Malaysia, Sweden and Turkey.

This means that unless you can spoof the Google Play Store into thinking you’re somewhere else, you won’t be able to download and play Black Desert Mobile in the UK.

No exact release time has been shared but it doesn’t look like things will be kicking off until October 24 begins in the PST timezone.

The good news is that when it does become available to play gloablly, most Android phones will be able to play it.

We can only guarantee this for Android phones as they are the only specs that have been released.

But it seems pretty likely that BDM will be an easy game to run on iOS devices too.

The minimum phone grade needed on Android is listed as –

The Devices for Maximum Graphic Settings include: , , and , .

So it should be pretty easy for everyone to download and play Black Desert Mobile on its global release date.

We don’t know exactly when that will happen but Pearl Abyss has announced that they’re planning the global expansion to be completed in 2019.

So we would bet that if everything goes well with this limited release, new regions and devices will be added quickly.

And until the release day is announced, gamers can continue to pre-register their interest to get the first chance of downloading Black Desert Mobile.

For those that don’t know much about the port, here’s some guidance from the dev team on what will be included:

“The global version of Black Desert Mobile will continue to offer the same core combat and customization gameplay that millions of players across the world have experienced through PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

“In addition to the combat and in-depth character customization system, Black Desert Mobile offers life skills to upgrade camps, challenges with world bosses, and PvP content such as Node Wars.

“Black Desert Mobile reinterprets the renowned Black Desert SEA and optimizes it for the mobile platform with advanced actions, intuitive controls, and unprecedented gameplay systems.

“The mobile version of the Black Desert IP has seen immense popularity as the number of downloads has exceeded 10 million.

“Adventurers can begin their new adventures by choosing from five character classes: Warrior, Ranger, Giant, Witch, or Valkyrie.

“The game is set in a medieval fantasy world, where players are caught in the middle of a conflict between two rival nations, the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia.

“They have been in war over the Black Stones, a mysterious energy source which grants power to those who use them. The stones are a very valuable resource in the world and players will need to discover the secrets behind these Black Stones.”
