Ulrika Jonsson recently shared a candid video where she explained she has struggled with chronic back pain over the years. The writer and broadcaster described her issue as a “degenerative disc disease” and revealed it has resulted in arthritis in her hips.
Following her candid admission, the 54-year-old reacted to a brutal message she received on Instagram today.
It comes after the columnist announced that she would be a contestant on the E4 series Celebs Go Dating.
Ulrika called out the social media user branding them “t***ty b*****ks”.
She shared the brutal message on the picture-sharing site, in view of her 175,000 followers.
On joining this year’s E4 dating show, Ulrika said: “Three years ago I got divorced, I hadn’t anticipated being single at my age.
“I’m enjoying it but I look forward to working with Anna [Williamson] and Paul [Carrick Brunson], I’m sure they will have me back on track to finding love in no time.”
Joining this year’s series is rapper and singer Abz Love, TOWIE favourite Chloe Brockett, Made in Chelsea heart-throb Miles Nazaire, Married at First Sight UK’s Nikita Jasmine and Apprentice star Ryan-Mark Parsons.
Addressing the news, she took to Instagram stories with a promotional photo of the Celebs Go Dating lineup.
She penned: “Here we are in all our glory. (I’m the grandma in the middle).”
Meanwhile, Ulrika recently spoke about her health woes in a video on Instagram.
She captioned the post: “For years I’ve lived with chronic pain and various degrees of it. The main issues established in my lower back some years ago and now the Pain Gods have added to it with arthritis in my hips.”
The TV personality said she assumed she would have to get surgery but has since undergone laser treatment with a portable machine.
Ulrika added: “What this little beauty does is rid me of most of my pain; this clever little thing is ridiculously easy to use – even an old dinosaur like me has no problems!”
