Bindi Irwin has shared a heartfelt tribute to her dad, Steve Irwin, on what would have been the wildlife expert’s 58th birthday.
She took to Instagram to share a photo of her with her dad when she was a child, as the pair shared a gorgeous moment while Steve held a porcupine.
Bindi wrote: ‘Dad, Today is your birthday. I had an extra strong cup of tea just how you liked it. I hugged Mum for you and told her how much we love her.
‘Robert and I went on a hike through the mountains you cherished. I watched one of your documentaries with Chandler and shared stories about you.
‘I walked through your office in the zoo and smiled at our old family photographs. Today and every day I miss you and love you beyond description. You’re always with me.’
Steve’s wife, Terri Irwin also shared some words in honour of his birthday, writing: ‘Today would’ve been Steve’s 58th birthday.

The couple’s son, Robert Irwin, also shared a tribute to his dad, posting a professionally taken black and white shot of the whole family, simply captioned: ‘Family Always’.
Steve, nicknamed The Crocodile Hunter, was just 44 when he died in September 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
The much-loved nature show host had initially believed he had punctured a lung in the incident, however the barb had pierced his heart which caused him to bleed to death despite his team’s best efforts to administer CPR and get him to a hospital.
