Billie Faiers' Maldives wedding guests cause 'carnage'

Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd’s wedding guests have been accused of causing ‘carnage’ and ruining a holiday of a lifetime with their ‘intimidating and raucous behaviour’.

MailOnline has spoken to holidaymakers who have lodged an official complaint with KUONI travel about their £7000 trip after claiming it was ‘totally spoiled.’

They said in a letter addressed to KUONI: ‘It was virtually impossible to have a drink or meal without an area being re-arranged to accommodate the wedding party.

Adding: ‘The new arrivals were very loud and needed to be heard – they were swearing loudly.’

‘Our real gripe is that Paradise had turned into Southend, (nothing wrong with Southend), but we chose an exclusive resort and it soon became clear that we were less important than the Faiers group.

‘I think the island should have been exclusive to the wedding party and then other guests would not have been subjected to disappointment!’

In further correspondence to MailOnline, the holidaymaker said: ‘There were 90 plus members of the wedding party and it was carnage.

‘It was like the Essex circus had rolled into town. They were raucous and our trip was totally spoiled. Our trip of a lifetime ended so poorly.’

On Thursday, the wedding party showed no sign of slowing down as Billie and Greg shared a video from their son Arthur’s second birthday, two days after their big day.

The families had taken over another restaurant as the children played the bongos alongside a man playing a saxophone amid a party atmosphere.

Billie and Greg also shared a lovely picture of themselves in swimwear, holding a personalised lifebuoy and wearing a ‘bride’ headband.

The day before, it was reported that Greg was accused of being ‘aggressive’ and calling a holidaymaker a ‘c***’ on the wedding day.

HOLIDAYMAKERS’ OFFICIAL COMPLAINT IN FULL…

As the week went on the numbers grew and so did the volume – there are several bars and restaurants on the island but it was virtually impossible to have a drink or meal without an area being re-arranged to accommodate the wedding party. Every time we ate somewhere they would be shouting to one another across the restaurant if they weren’t seated together – Kuramathi is so tranquil and peaceful – we didn’t expect this sort of behaviour.

After eating in the Reef restaurant on Friday night we walked across to the Laguna Bar – a duo was playing – tables and chairs had been moved to make a temporary dance floor. I think this could have been Billies hen night – it was like walking in to a private party, we took a seat outside and waited for the staff to get us a drink. We didn’t feel comfortable going into the bar, everyone looked at us like we shouldn’t have been there.

On Saturday around lunchtime we had finished our meal in the Island Coffee shop and were sitting in the beach area. A loud cheer went up, lots of screaming and shouting and it was evident that other wedding guests had just arrived on the island. There was then a champagne reception held in the adjacent Fung bar, complete with cameramen – it was impossible to get to the bar area.. The new arrivals were very loud and needed to be heard – they were swearing loudly.

There was no advance warning that this area would be closed to other guests.

The party on Sunday night was supposedly in the Island Coffee shop garden – which is next to a restaurant and beach bar called the Sand bar – I believe most of the wedding party were present.

We had eaten at a different restaurant and intended to finish the evening at the Sand Bar as we had done most evenings.

We couldn’t get anywhere near the Sand bar as the wedding party had taken it over, although it wasn’t closed off for their use and so we retreated to the Fung bar where the champagne reception had been held – there were some of the wedding guests in there too.

They were shouting and swearing, shrieking etc

When they couldn’t get service at the Sand bar they were then coming into the Fung – there was no escape!

I think our real gripe is that Paradise had turned into Southend – nothing wrong with Southend – but we chose an exclusive resort and it soon became clear that we were less important than the Faiers group.

I think the Island should have been exclusive to the wedding party and then other guests would not have been subjected to disappointment!

According to The Sun, Greg, 33, was reportedly angered after a fellow guest at the resort took a photo of Billie, 28, and one of his friends is said to have turned nasty, forcing security to intervene.

A magazine has secured the rights to the couple’s wedding day pictures, but things don’t appear to be going well as the party have been branded ‘drunken, rude yobs’.

The site claims holidaymakers could not get into their own water villa due to the wedding blocking the area and have been made to feel like ‘second class citizens.’

Hotel staff have reportedly been struggling to keep a lid on the wedding party and their ‘yobbish’ behaviour, as Greg and his friends are said to have turned nasty.

A source said: ‘The couple were refused entry into their own villa because of this wedding ceremony taking place right outside it.

‘People have paid many thousands of pounds for their dream holiday and so they tried to walk past them all but the groom, Greg, and some other guests turned aggressive and starting using abusive and obscene foul language.’

One guest is said to be on crutches after off a bar stool when drunk and another is said to fallen into a pool at night.

A spokesperson for KUONI told MailOnline on Wednesday: ‘When the guests arrived, it’s fair to say there was a party atmosphere.

‘Our staff did have to speak to a handful of the wedding guests individually, but they were respectful and the situation was immediately resolved.

‘Everyone has been having a great time and any concerned holidaymakers have been spoken to and the notes we’ve received are that they are all happy.

‘We took immediate steps to make ensure guests were happy. Each received a letter ahead of the wedding and Billie’s film crew have stuck to restricted areas.

‘We are used to managing special occasion travel. Our priority is to ensure that all guests are able to relax and have a happy holiday.’

A representative for Greg and Billie have since denied that guests had access to their villa restricted, or that Greg had used the language claimed.

‘Billie and Greg got engaged and have holidayed in the Maldives for many years, they have the upmost respect for the islands and its people and that includes the other guests staying at the resort.’

Billie and Greg are thought to have tied the knot in the Maldives on Tuesday and then the morning after, shared their first snap as man and wife on Instagram.

The pretty blonde wore a spotty bikini as she posed on Greg’s shoulders.

Billie’s sister Sam, 28, and Ferne McCann, also 28, all broke their social media silence on Wednesday.

The couple brought a film crew to film her Mummy Diaries show and while cameras were restricted to certain areas, holidaymakers were upset that things like the  champagne loft and serenity pool were closed off to them.

The reality star’s social media showed no sign of concern and she and Greg looked delighted in their latest snap.

Mother-of-two Billie simply captioned the image with the words: ‘Maldives Babbbyyyyyyy’ sharing a love heart emoji.

Meanwhile, Billie’s sister Sam, shared a picture of herself wearing a white swimsuit as she held her 15-month-old daughter Rosie up in the air.

Mummy Diaries will be returned to TV screens on Wednesday night on ITVBe for a fifth season and it’s only a matter of time before viewers find out what really happened on the big day.

It’s fair to say the trip hasn’t been plain sailing so far.

It was reported that the wedding was hanging in the balance after Billie’s stepdad was ‘too drunk’ to board the plane to their exotic getaway.

Apparently, while trying to board the plane at Gatwick airport, Billie’s stepdad Dave Chatwood was told he had consumed too much alcohol to fly.

A passenger on the flight told The Sun: ‘[He] has been refused on the flight because he was too drunk and all the flights were delayed because of him.

‘He delayed everything after that and other passengers were fuming when they saw what was going on.’

Luckily things were smoothed over in the end and things went ahead as planned.

The source said: ‘It’s fair to say he saw the funny side but other passengers didn’t.’

It is believed that the family begged the flight staff to let Dave onto the plane in order to save Billie’s wedding from disaster where 95 guests are set to attend.

Billie and Greg recently revealed they will be trying for their third child straight after returning home from their wedding.

The celebrity pair, who have been engaged since 2014, are already parents to Nelly, four, and Arthur, 21 months, and are keen to get cracking on baby number three.

Greg said: ‘We want another baby after the wedding. Billie wants another baby so it will be after then hopefully.’

Billie added: ‘I’ve got my hands full with these two already but I am really enjoying them so we will see!’

But before the wedding, Billie enjoyed a raucous hen do in Ibiza with her pals, all of which was captured for her hit ITVBe show The Mummy Diaries.

In the episode, the mum-of-three was seen dancing in the rain with her hens, including sister Sam and best friend Ferne.
