Billie Eilish, The 1975 and Stormzy have led the Q Award nominations as music royalty prepares to be honoured at Camden’s Roundhouse next month.
The magazine will celebrate all things music at the ceremony on 16 October.
Billie and The 1975 secured four nods each, with the Bad Guy hitmaker up for best track, best solo act, best album, and best act in the world today.
Meanwhile, the beloved band will be competing against Billie in best track, best album, and best act in the world today, with them also earning a nod for best live performance.
Not too shabby.
Stormzy follows closely behind with three nominations after his iconic Glastonbury performance earlier this year (best track, best solo act, and best act in the world today), with Lewis Capaldi also racking up three nods after the success of his album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
Little Simz, slowthai, AJ Tracey, Liam Gallagher, Lana Del Rey and Dave are also among the artists to earn nominations for this year’s ceremony.
Biffy Clyro are also set to headline a sold-out concert on the night before the big event.
Billie looks to be having an epic year for awards after she was a big winner at the MTV VMAs back in August.
Earning three awards for best new artist, push artist of the year and best editing for hit song Bad Guy, the singer’s winning spree doesn’t look to be slowing down any time soon.
However, the star recently revealed it hasn’t been a smooth journey, explaining that she didn’t think she would make it to age 17.
The teen pop sensation has been open about her ongoing mental health srtuggles and in 2018 revealed she has Tourette Syndrome, causing her to have ‘tic attacks’.
‘I was a 16-year-old girl who was really unstable… I didn’t think that I would even make it to this age,’ she said. ‘I felt like nothing mattered; every single thing was pointless. Not just in my life, but everything in the whole world.’
Nevertheless, she went on to explain to Elle that she’s now ‘in the happiest place of her life.’
